A studio based in process and exploration
Studio Caelo is a creative practice led by curiosity and care. The work moves fluidly across mediums, from painting and illustration to photography and digital mark making to sculptural environments and immersive installations. Each piece begins with a desire to create connection, whether to a moment, a place, or the viewer.

Work may be in commercial and public settings or hidden away in the forest or snowy mountains, but they always reflect a continuous exploration and passion for the natural world.
PHYSICAL WORKS, FIELD STUDIES, AND process
Some works begin in the studio, others in the landscape, but all reflect a continuous exploration of material, atmosphere, and emotional connection to place. Process is just as important as outcome. The boundaries between the digital and physical are constantly examined, reshaped, and reimagined. Every project is a study in balance, guided by both intention and intuition, structure and spontaneity. Here are a few sculptural installations and in-process works.

Flow.
Recycled clear glass bottles that have been sliced into rings, then those rings sliced into arcs. The glass arcs have been ground and polished, ready for the next phase of preparation.
Crystalline.
Hundreds of clear straws wrap around a red core of woven, hand dyed ropes that is illuminated to glow from within like a frozen shell. The delicate 5' tall structure is suspended between two abandoned shipping containers.
Roots.
Three wire root forms wrapped in gauze are suspended with long tails dipping into bowls of green dye, allowing the pigment to slowly wick upward and stain both fabric and form over time. This piece explores the quiet tension between transformation and stillness, drawing attention to the slow, often invisible processes that shape growth and decay.
River.
Suspended plane of glass, about 2 ft x 8 ft. Hanging individually from monofiliment, each piece sways and catches the breeze in a different way to create a feeling of swirling water. When laying underneath, it can feel like looking up from beneath the water's surface.

Founder Lisa Town brings over two decades of experience in art and design. She blends her background in landscape architecture, photography, and visual storytelling with a deep love for the natural world to create moments of stillness, wonder, and emotional connection between people and place.
